When life hands you lemons…

31 Jan

…You make lemonade.

One of our regular customers came in and dropped off a bag full of fresh picked lemons. Of course I had to grab a small bag full to make lemonade with the boys. It will be our fun little activity tomorrow, so long as they don’t destroy the kitchen in the process lol. I told Monkey we would make lemonade tomorrow and maybe do a Valentine’s Day craft and he insisted we do a Transformers craft. I told him I didn’t know any and he told me he did and he would show me tomorrow. I can’t wait.

In other crafty news we were able to have an early dinner and put Bug to bed nice and early so that I was able to sew! I drew up a different pattern for an iPhone pouch I made recently and am very happy with it. While I was drawing, 3 other different styles were drawn up as well. I can’t wait to sew some up! Of course I will post pictures tomorrow of the case I made tonight when the lighting is better. We really need to invest in some better lighting so I can take pictures in the house.

Confession of the day: I’m a messy person. Maybe not by most standards, but by my husband’s I am. If I could hoard fabric, I would. I think my hubby would have a heart attack if I did though. I think I have gotten better over the years at cleaning up after myself and the boys, but I still just don’t have the same attention to detail or drive as my husband when it comes to chores around the house. Yes, I cook, I do the laundry, I sweep daily, I pick up obvious things around the house. But my hubby, for instance tonight vacuumed the whole house with the shop vac while I cooked dinner. He’s the one who gets the little dust bunnies under the beds and couch. He’s the one who scrubs the toilet, changes the cat litter, scrubs down the kitchen so well we would pass a health inspection with flying colors. I really am a lucky woman to have a man who does so much around the house and helps with the kids equally. Yes, we argue. Yes, we stress. Yes, we disagree. But man, we make an awesome team and I know he supports me and I will always support him.

I have to say you raised a good man! P.S. I think I may be able to help check learning to make a quilt off your bucket list…It may take us a while lol, but it would be a fun project!
