Meet Drippy. He’s a friendly monster just looking for someone to love and play with him. He isn’t scary, in fact he’s quite silly. He wears a scarf because he always seems to be catching a cold.

I really had a lot of fun making this and so did Monkey. I had to do his body twice because the first time I made his neck too skinny and couldn’t fit his head through when I was turning him right side out. I love how uneven and imperfect he is. After making him last night the ideas for other softies flooded my brain and I started drawing lots of patterns. I really kinda love him and so does Monkey. I checked on the boys before I went to bed and saw Drippy safely tucked under his arm. I love that he gets excited when I make things for him and that really fuels my passion. I’m going to have to whip up some friends for Drippy and for the Etsy shop which may be opening sooner than I anticipated as I have some product to sell!

Today the mailman also left me a little package. I tore open the box, got my fabric out and ran outside to take a pic before the sun set…and didn’t like how the pictures came out lol.

So I went inside to take some. Finally I’m working on building a stash. I love these Kona solids, especially that blue, and can’t wait to use them. I’m not sure if I’ll use them in a quilt or something else. I love getting new fabric, it’s so inspiring! As a matter of fact, considering it’s only quarter to 8, I think i’ll go whip up something now!

I love Drippy! He’s so cute and I bet lil Bug is going to start asking for his own monster friend….. Maybe Drippy has a baby brother? 🙂
I love the colors of the fabrics you choose, I wonder what’s coming out next from it, can’t wait to see your new creations.
