Fun with embroidery

4 Feb

With Bug getting over his little sickness there wasn’t time to do much in the way of sewing at my machine. I did find a cute little tutorial this morning here. I managed to whip one up today and will be binding it tomorrow sometime. Hopefully I can start the cute giraffe one tomorrow as well. These are nice and easy to do because I can take it with me as I follow the boys around the house. This seriously saved my sanity today. We started off the day at 7 am which really isn’t that bad, except for the fact that Bug cried screamed his head off  for 45 minutes as soon as I got him out of bed. There were quite a few tantrums today as Bug is just fussy and exhausted from the little tummy bug he’s had. Poor Monkey was trying his best to leave Bug alone and play nice but Bug just wanted EVERYTHING Monkey had and threw a tantrum every time I told him no. Needless to say finding this tutorial and being able to do a little embroidery between refereeing was really nice. It’s the little things.

The picture isn’t so great, I had to take it in the hall way and the light made it look a little funny. I just was really excited about it and wanted to post a picture of it tonight. After I bind it I will take a better picture with the sun out. The great thing about this tutorial is that it also has a little printable reference guide of stitches if you are new to embroidery. It’s a nice easy fun project that doesn’t take a lot of time. Check it out!
