23 Mar

I haven’t updated my blog in a few days, bad me. I’ve been wrapped up in working out and the exhaustion that comes with that and The Hunger Games. I read the first book last year after a friend told me about it and then yesterday a co-workers wife let me borrow Catching Fire and I only just put it down because I finished it. 2 days, that’s how riveting the books are. I read Hunger Games in 2 days as well. I’m already trying to work in a trip to the bookstore this weekend to get Mockingjay so I can find out how it all ends, and then Sunday we get to go see The Hunger Games. I know it’s PG13 so i’m expecting the violence of the games to be toned down substantially, but I’m eager to see how true to the book they remain. I find 9 times out of 10 I am disappointed with the movie version of books if I have read the books, and since I am an avid reader I usually have read the book before I see the movie. The only book to movie that I wasn’t disappointed in that I can think of off the top of my head is The Stand by Stephen King. Yes, Harry Potter was fantastic, but some of the emotion from the books just didn’t translate onto film, there were quite a few important things I felt they left out and emotions they didn’t explore enough with Harry…I side tracked a little there, sorry I do that a lot. What I wanted to say was I’m sorry I’ve been slacking on my posts. Reading took priority as did our busy schedule this week. Tomorrow is Caleb’s Talent Show and Sunday I will have a post full of updates on sewing and life and photography, I promise!

I hope everyone is having a fabulous Friday and have a great weekend! See you all Sunday.
