Boxy Bag

2 Jun

I finally finished another project! Yippee! This has been sitting on my sewing table for at least a month now waiting to be finished up.

I made one box bag before this and it was mighty lopsided. I took my time with this one, measured the corners like 3 times before sewing and read the directions at least a dozen times before each line was sewn. I am really happy with how this little bag turned out!  I was worried that box bags were  going to be something I was unable to do. I am definitely learning to slow down and take my time because I want a nice looking final product.  I followed this tutorial and it was probably the clearest tutorial I have ever read. I started to doubt my sewing skills towards the end as I was making the boxed corners, but I just followed along and was so happy when I turned it all right side out and found even neat boxed corners! This is a perfect size to use as a travel make up bag or  toting along my hand quilting supplies. Next project on my list is a cute little camera bag I bought a pattern for from Michelle. It looks easy enough and it also came with a selling license so I’m super excited to get to stitching some up!
