Organizer Wallet

10 Jun

I finally finished another project that had been started and then forgotten about. I found this tutorial last year with the full intention of making these for Christmas gifts but instead finished my Christmas quilt and this little guy was pushed under other projects and seemed to be lost. I pulled it out the other day and got to work sewing while waiting to put Caleb down for a nap. It all came together really fast and I’m not sure why I put it off for so long, probably because I saw 15 other things I had to make right away and got sidetracked. That happens to me a lot.

Yes, my topstitching does need some work. I find when I use my walking foot I always get lines that aren’t perfectly straight. I like that there is elastic holding it all closed nice and neat.

Inside there are pockets to hold whatever you’d like. For me this is the perfect market wallet, I can have my grocery list handy along with money and my phone. I can’t wait to use it! I found the tutorial here and there is also a link to some other tutorials on this page perfect for little handmade gifts. Speaking of gifts, if I am going to make gifts this year for Christmas I’d better get started now, although I say that every year and fail miserably at actually doing it. Who knows, maybe this is the year I actually do it! Hope everyone had a great weekend and enjoyed the beautiful weather!

Yes you should! I’m already pulling more fabric to start making more of these for Christmas, you can never start too early!
